The championships are scheduled to take place in Montréal from September 20 to 27, bringing together cyclists from around the world.
Higiro met the Rwandan delegation on Saturday ahead of the championships. The delegation included FERWACY President Nkurayija Ishimwe Jean Hubert, cyclists and other officials.
Higiro encouraged the riders to use the championships as an opportunity to showcase Rwanda on the international stage.
Rwanda is taking part in the competition following the 2025 edition held in Kigali, which made the country the first in Africa to host the UCI Road World Championships.
Rwanda's campaign begins on Sunday, with Nirere Xaverine and Ingabire Diane competing in the women's individual time trial (ITT).
